Try reducing your screen resolution. If that helps, you are fill limited,
and the logo hurts. Look at the stats on the
draw line, there are at least four parts.,
1. Short stumpy pre draw (raised)
2. CPU draw (long and lowered)
3. FILL (raised and bold)
4. Post Draw and stats. (dotted).

visualizing our FLT-model with Perfly under Performer 2.5 (demo, SuSE Linux
7.3), the draw is increased by 25% versus a Perfly under Performer 2.4.
Could the SGI/Performer logo slowing down the draw process ?
