Performer version is 2.4.1 and compiler is gcc v. 2.96.
I believe that the problem is because some linked libraries have been
compiled with a different compiler version. But since there is no source
code available what can be done about that? I have already tried to compile
with backward compatibility.

Good to know that your system is working in RH 7.2. I suppose I could leave
Mandrake and try RH 7.2 too.
