Hi,
I'm teaching am interdisciplinary Virtual Reality course at the University
of Aarhus in Denmark. For the semester project, one of the groups wants
to take a game engine that they have developed in OpenGL and adapt it for
the Panorama. I think they would like to write the VR code themselves,
instead of using a current library (because they have asked to look at
source code). We currently use the CAVE library, Performer or Vodgets at
the Center for Advanced Visualization and Interaction where the VR
equipment is located. I have advised them that they could use one of
these libraries, but I think it might be more interesting if they could
write their own VR code. I have some technical experience, but not in
writing VR libraries. So, I thought I would contact these mailing lists,
since the authors of some of the VR libraries are on them. Could you give
advice or suggestions to help the students find information, links,
references, etc. that might help them in adapting their code.
If you would, please respond to myself and the email addresses that are
Cc'ed on this email.
Thanks in advance,
Margaret
