obscure compiler/IRIX warning

hi,

I'm trying to compile ~Performer/pguide/libpfui/ using
the included makefile. each source file bombs like this:

cc-1513 cc: ERROR at end of source
Makedepend error: fcntl (Makedepend) : No locks available
1 catastrophic error detected in the compilation of "../pick.c".
Compilation terminated.
*** Error code 2
smake: Error: 1 error

how do I make this work?
