Shared memory allocation

Hi,

I know this question must have been asked before on this list, but I
can't seem to find the answer in the archives or on the web. I am trying
to allocate a shared memory arena of 1GB, but I am only able to allocate
approximately 500MB. It seems that I need to use setrlimit, but I am
unclear on which of setrlimit's settings impact Performer's shared arena
creation, and experimentation has thus far yielded no results. Which
setting (or perhaps settings) are important for this?

I am running Performer 2.2 on an Onyx3K with 4GB of RAM.
