Hello Linux/Pf Gurus,
It is that time again - to pay my dues to getting the
performer running after an update. I upgraded to
RedHat 7.1. I have a RIVA TNT2 Ultra card. This worked
fine with RedHat 6.2. With RedHat 7.1 here is the
symptom:
When I run perfly, one of the following happens:
1. I am logged out of the system with the KDE login
screen back on the screen, OR, 2. nothing happens and
the performer window does not appear. If the second
one happens, and I kill that job and try running perfly
again, my machine gets locked up; I will have to do a
hardware reset.
Install details:
Performer 2.4.2-2
NVidia Drivers: 1.0-1251
Lesstif: 1999.01.28-1
I have provided a screen dump of the performer output,
in case you are feeling really philanthropic
today:-):-), and want to take a look.
If you have some hints/suggestins, that might salvage
at least part of my weekend :-):-); TIA.
