Hello,
I'm looking to upgrade my laptop, and the primary qualification that
I have is that it runs Performer well -- which means of course that
it can also handle Linux, and accellerated graphics well.
I've been found of my Thinkpad's running Linux for the past few years,
but I don't see any new Thinkpad models coming out with decent graphics
performance. I notice the Dell Inspiron 8100 has the nVideo Go chip,
and a decent CPU, and I'm no stranger to carrying a hefty laptop around,
so size is less of a concern for me.
What kind of experience have people in pfLand had? I know the pfTeam
carries around a laptop for demos, and if they've upgraded recently,
would be interested in knowing what they currently favor.
Thanks,
Bill
