Hi All,

First question. Can someone change my subscription to "regular" instead
of digest?

For a very long time our APP has been compiled and linked against
Performer 2.2.X, and recently we tried to do this on an Origin 3K. This
machine doesn't allow you to load Performer 2.2.X onto it, but does
allow you to load 2.4.1 Performer, as well as 2.2.12 runtime libs, so an
existing APP will function
correctly without re-compiling, which is desireable for us (and seems to
work OK). We are using IRIX 6.5.12m, origin 3400 R12K..

My question is this.
When we do load Performer 2.4.1 with 2.2.12 runtime libs, the "true"
Performer 2.4.1 libs I actually
see are in: /usr/lib32/Performer/Debug, DebugStatic, and Static dirs.
There are also a duplicate set of this stuff in /usr/lib/Performer (o32
ABI it appears), and usr/lib64/Performer (64 ABI it appears).

Where are the no-debug Performer Libs? Are there any available at all,
or are they loaded somewhere else, are they in some other package we
need to add, or are the "static" libs the optimized libs (it appears
they are)?

Reason I ask is we are trying to compile and link against TRUE Performer
2.4.1 (and become a 2.4.1 Performer App) libs, but I am having a hard
time trying to figure out how (at least how properly), and it seems
strange the libs are in this special area, not in the /usr/lib/ itself.
This might be so that the 2.2.12 runtime libs are found by default, not
the 2.4.1 libs, I'm not sure?

Maybe I need to read something else (like the getting started manual)
more carefully?
If someone has sme insight, please give me some pointers as to what I
should be doing/reading.

If anyone could help me out I'd appreciate an e-mail back ASAP (as wel
as to the group here) at
jdj++at++amherst.com (my work address).

As always thanks Performers (In Advance)
    John Jamulla
