Tom,
When doing the ldd on perfly, all the files and paths seem correct.
There does seem to be a mish-mash of DSOs due to XFree that came with Redhat
6.2 and the ungraded version that was installed using tarballs; but upon
closer examination this looks fine since the same DSO version numbers for
certian libs (libXt, libXext, etc) were similar between RH 6.2 and RH 7.1.
Although DSO extension numbers are the not the best way to determine is
something is "ok", its the best i can for now.
I've re-installed Performer version 2.3. And i also re-installed nvidia
driver 1.0-1251 (both kernel and GLX).
I still get the same problem.
PF Warning(2): Using gettimeofday() clock
PF Warning/Internal: pfWindow::openNewNoPort() - null visual.
PF This can happen if IRIX has placed the
shared memory area too close to the heap.
PF Try in your shell: setenv PFSHAREDBASE
0x18000000
Segmentation fault
The XFree86.0.log files seems ok also:
(==) NVIDIA(0): Backing store disabled
(==) NVIDIA(0): Silken mouse enabled
(II) Loading extension NV-GLX
(II) Initializing built-in extension MIT-SHM
(II) Initializing built-in extension XInputExtension
(II) Initializing built-in extension XTEST
(II) Initializing built-in extension XKEYBOARD
(II) Initializing built-in extension LBX
(II) Initializing built-in extension XC-APPGROUP
(II) Initializing built-in extension SECURITY
(II) Initializing built-in extension XINERAMA
(II) Initializing built-in extension XFree86-Bigfont
(II) Initializing built-in extension RENDER
(II) [GLX]: Calling GlxExtensionInit
(II) [GLX]: associated 0 out of 0 GLX visuals
Any more ideas? fdisk perhaps?? ;)
Thanx
Robert
