We have just installed Performer 2.3 on our new linux machine, using a
GeForce 2 graphics card.

I have also observed the seg fault when __GL_FSAA_MODE is set to 3 or 4 when
using the nvidia 1.0-1251, so I have reverted to 0.9-769.

I wonder what your observations are on using different FSAA quality settings,
and resolutions ? Using 1024x768x16 I don't see much different between quality
settings of 1 or 2, but 0 is worse. There is a noticeable performance hit
on big models for the higher quality settings. Have you tried other
resolutions ?
