Performer 2.4 - glibc2.2 problem

With regards to the Performer 2.4 - glibc2.2 problem causing an error at
run-time: undefined symbol:stat; I have found the workaround in the
archives, but haven't successfully implimented it.

Where does the library go? Do you incorporate the makefile into your
makefile, or is it separate?

Will there be a fix for this problem soon?
