Hello,
I recently tried the 1.0-1251 driver of nvidia, and it looks as if
performer will segfault on this driver when using FSAA.
nvidia has changed the env vars for fsaa. From now on, they
want you to use the var '__GL_FSAA_MODE'.
This feature is not documented at all, but someone who phoned
support found out about it.
see:
cooker++at++linux-mandrake.com/msg37521.html">http://www.mail-archive.com/cooker++at++linux-mandrake.com/msg37521.html
Now,
The env var works for me on the gears opengl demo in 16bpp.
However, when doing perfly or any other performer app with fsaa
and 16bpp gives a segm violation.
In 24bpp, no crash, but also no anti aliasing.
So, anyone stubled across this yet? Or even better, someone
how did manage to make fsaa work with performer+1251 ?
I tried pf 2.3 and 2.4, same crash.
BTW: I'm on a GeForceIIGTS and linux-2.4.2
thx,
Bram
