Hello!
I am looking at the possibility of developing a Virtual Surgery
System using Performer.
The requirements are:
1. It should support anatomical objects (polygonal models only).
2. The objects should deform in realtime (using some interactive
transformations).
3. And also shoud provide haptics feedback (something like the
Phantom).
The question is,
a) Can Performer do the job?
b) Has anyone successfully done that before using Performer?
c) Is there some commercial system available on top of
Performer+OpenGL?
d) Can any other library help (Sense8/Vega/...) to improve the
perfromance of Performer code?
All replies are highly appreciated.
Thank You
Edmond
