Hi there,

Is anyone else using Performer for postgrad/undergrad teaching? I'd be
particlarly interested in hearing from people who are doing it on a Linux
platform.

Despite being a big Irix customer, with systems up to + including an
Onyx3, we're finding SGI-UK very uncooperative (uninterested, even) in
helping us put PF on the machines in our Linux lab. I must admit I'm
surprised because it would lead to 70+ students being educated in
the basics of PF, and 5-10 of those becoming quite proficient (Masters
projects take 4 months, and ours involve a wide range of VE + simulation
problems, and displays that range from desktop to HMD and Workbench).

best

roy
