Of course not - that would be too practical. (kidding)

The Octane Channel Option board is not compatible with the new
Vpro Graphics board series.

Hi Mike,

Probably not an ideal option - but you can always purchase an Octane Channel Option (OCO) board. The breakout box will allow you to generate a 4 x 640 x 480 output (i.e. 4 "tiles" from a 1280x960 desktop). By rendering left-eye and right-eye imagery to seperate 640x480 screen areas, you can drive stereo imagery to your nVision helmet.

I've used this approach before and it was quite satisfactory for our needs at the time. Drop me a line if you'd like more details.

Cheers,

Murray

Sorry for the non-performer-like question, but I could use some advice on how to use my HMD on the Octane2.

I want to drive a N-vision VGA HMD and there aren't any VGA formats to choose from. The lowest res is 1024x768.

Does anyone have an Octane2/V12/Dual-channel video format for 640x480?

Will the VPro*.def files in the /usr/gfx/vfc/rules directory and VFC-1.2 allow me to do what I want?

Cabling is another issue, but I'll keep searching the net on that topic...8)

thanks,

Mike Logan
