Hi guys!
A clean install of IRIX 6.5.12m and all the dev stuff from CDs on to a
clean disk.
Now our Performer applications will not link unless we create some
file links. They did work OK under 6.5.11m (still installed on another
drive).
To test the problem I tried to rebuild the demos sources (as root). Go
to /usr/share/Performer/src/pguide/C and type 'make'.
It fails as follows...
/usr/bin/cc -DN32 -DIRIX6_5 -I/usr/include -fullwarn
-nostdinc -I/usr/include -mips3 -n32 -O -Olimit 2000 -MDupdate
Makedepend -woff 1685,515,608,658,799,803,852,1048,1233,1499 -o
ASD_align.dsocmd ASD_align.o -L/usr/lib32 -L/usr/lib32/libpfdb
-L/lib32 -all -mips3 -n32 -quickstart_info -nostdlib
-L/usr/lib32/mips3 -L/usr/lib32 -L/usr/lib32/internal -no_unresolved
-lpfdu_ogl -lpfui -lpfutil_ogl -lpf_ogl -limage -lGLw -lXm -lXt -lvl
-ldmedia -lvl -no_unresolved -lGLU -lGL -lXsgivc -lXext -lXmu -lX11
-lm -lCsup -lC
cc WARNING: -Olimit is no longer supported, use -OPT:Olimit=n instead
ld32: WARNING 158: Expecting MIPS3 objects: /usr/lib32/crt1.o is MIPS4.
ld32: FATAL 9 : I/O error (-lpfdu_ogl): No such file or directory

Our applications will also not build/link unless we create some file
links.
libpf.so -> /usr/lib32/libpf.so.5
libpfdu.so -> /usr/lib32/libpfdu.so.5
libpfui.so -> /usr/lib32/libpfui.so.5
libpfutil.so -> /usr/lib32/libpfutil.so.5
So... did I do something wrong in the install, or is there a bug, or an
'OPPS'?
Thanks!
