Hi,
It's quite normal, I think. The major improvements of the GF3 are
not in its raw performance, but in the new features implemented
in hardware (pixel and vertex shaders, better AA). Your 20/30%
improvements come from a memory bandwidth improved (higher clocks,
memory banks, crossbar, and perhaps the Z-buffer optimisation).
Anyway, the improvements should be better in 32bits (who wants to
do visual simulation in 16 bits?) and at high resolutions.
You can still try to get a 2.4 kernel, and Performer 2.4. The agp
performance is perhaps better. Check the log file of XfFree that
your agp setup is correct. And get the fastest CPU you can.
