First, I should mention that the .iv loader comes pre-compiled with
Performer 2.4 and it would be best to upgrade to that if at all possible.
Next, it'd be a good idea to verify you have the latest version of the
Inventor rpms.

If dlopen() is still failing, it probably due to unresolved symbols.
Without knowing what those unresolved symbols are, I'm not sure I can help
any further.
