Very strange.

I tried your test prog to reproduce this,
but for me, both binaries do not segfault.

I'm on Debian, with the following libc/pf/g++ revisions:

stolk++at++lie2:/tmp$ dpkg --list | grep libc6
ii libc6 2.2.2-1 GNU C Library: Shared libraries and Timezone

stolk++at++lie2:/tmp$ dpkg --list | grep performer
ii performer-demo 2.4-2 Performer Demos and Data
ii performer-dev 2.4-2 Performer Development Environment
ii performer-eoe 2.4-2 Performer Execution Only Environment

stolk++at++lie2:/tmp$ dpkg --list | grep g++
ii g++ 2.95.3-5 The GNU C++ compiler.
ii g++-2.95 2.95.3-6 The GNU C++ compiler.

I use dynamic_casts in my progs also, and are using this
with performer on irix, and pf on linux, 2.3 and 2.4 versions,
and all are ok.
