I have uploaded a compiled version to
www.lysator.liu.se/~gz/pfstat.tar.gz
(won't be able to maintain, though)

.) copy the "*so*" files to /usr/lib

.) run
> ldconfig

.) run
> export LD_PRELOAD=/usr/local/lib/libpfstat.so
before you start your Performer program
(or, if you want to be brutal, run it in .bashrc ;) )
