NVidia changed the environment variables controlling AA with the new linux drivers (1.0-1251)
Unfortunately, they forgot to change the documentation!! The new control for AA is the single
environment variable __GL_FSAA_MODE with these values
1 gives 2x2 AA
2 gives 2x2 quincunx AA
4 gives 4x4 Bilinear AA
5 gives 4x4 Gaussian AA

See this page http://www.evil3d.net/reviews/gfx/vtgf3/linux/?page=2.php3 for more details

Hi,

I am testing my new GeForce3 on Linux RH 7.1, running a Performer 2.3 app, and found that full scene anti-aliasing is not working any more (it did on GeForce2), at least not by setting __GL_ENABLE_FSAA=1 and __GL_FSAA_QUALITY=1.

According to this http://www.nvidia.com/view.asp?IO=feature_hraa info, AA on GeForce3 (HRAA) requires a minimum of 60fps, 1024x768x32.

But what if I have a lower fps, resolution or color depth? I assume I can forget HRAA, but is there no other way then to have AA, except by building back my GeForce 2??

Thanks for any info,

Jo Mantelers
