Hi,
I have the following problem:
I make an object in 3DS and then export it in obj format in order to
load it into Performer. The problem is that when I add a pfDCS to the
loaded obj-file, the pfDCS's axis origin is "assigned" to the firt
vertex coordinates found in the obj-file.
Is there a way to "force" the pfDCS "re-assign" its origin to a
random-given coordinate ??? (lets say 0,0,0)
Due to the fact that my application also uses the geometry as vertexes
and faces, I cannot use vrml or iv or any other format to load my models
is Performer.
A quick example :
the obj file that describes a cube 10-10-10 is:

# object Box01 to come ...
#
v -5.0000 -5.0000 -5.0000
v 5.0000 -5.0000 -5.0000
v -5.0000 5.0000 -5.0000
v 5.0000 5.0000 -5.0000
v -5.0000 -5.0000 5.0000
v 5.0000 -5.0000 5.0000
v -5.0000 5.0000 5.0000
v 5.0000 5.0000 5.0000
# 8 vertices

g Box01
f 4 2 1 3
f 8 7 5 6
f 6 5 1 2
f 8 6 2 4
f 7 8 4 3
f 5 7 3 1
# 6 faces

g

Performer assigns the pfDCS origin at vertex 1 (-5, -5, -5).
I want to be able to dynamicaly define the pfDCS origin at any point
(xo, yo, zo). ???

Thanks
