Hello all,
There is OpenFX (OpenFX.org) which should theoretically run under
wine. But I haven't had much luck. And it seems to be better than a lot of
them out there.
The number of features in blender is its strength and a new version with
more features is released every month. With the newest game
blender you can create realtime games too. Also while working with
Performer, I was impressed by the relative ease with which you could
import without using any third party file conversion utility. But in some
cases I have seen Performer crash with VRML 1.0 files. Just try
running pfGetGSetPrimType() on a file created using Blender and performer
segfaults. Actually Performer doesn't have any problem displaying the
file. Only this particular function (as far as I have seen) has a problem.
Bye,
Manju
