Hi,
thanks for your fast reply but I forgot to mention I'm working on a
Linux-Machine, which prevents me from using the ASDGen-API. By now I'm that
far, that I dicided to use DEM data. I found a tool working fine for Linux
but converting it all to VRML2.0.
I haven't made a final decision yet, but it looks like I will have to write
my own parser for DEM or whatsoever. Or I will end up modelling my own
terrain, what I really try to avoid.

If you have any further suggestions for me, I will be very gratefull.
