Hi Performers,

I'm trying to generate a large terrain database. By now I figured out, that
it would be good to use DTED-data. In the manual I read something about PTU
and the ascii file for that, but I can't figure out how to do that. Has
somebody a suggestion on how a PTU-File looks like and where I can get
elevationdata of terrain?
Or maybe a good idea what tool to use for terrain generation(maybe from
DTED or similiar), I'm not really bound to use real terraindata, it would
be nice, though.

Thanks,
Martin Peter Hanke
