Hej Ive !

Thanks A LOT for your help, your tip was _great_ ! :-)

Downloaded the Inventor libraries from oss.sgi.com/projects/inventor
yesterday & installed them..

I have now exported a teapot from 3DS Max 3.1 in VRML1.0 format, and
changed the entry first as you said - after changing the extension from
.WRL to .iv it worked like a charm in both SceneViewer and Performer !!

Then I applied a texture to the teapot, exported again, and tried to
read the file without changing the header - SceneViewer even chewed it
with a .WRL-extension, showing the texture correctly (I didn't check the
position, though) - for showing it in perfly I only had to change the
extension from .WRL to .iv, and it worked perfectly there too (although it
was _much_ slower there, maybe OpenGL switched back to software rendering
out of some reason, e.g. texture size)

This is a big leap forward - thank you once more ! :-)

Servus,
  Gernot
