Hello,
I am having problems running an asd with a large cliptexture (about
300 GB). When I use asdfly I can see the ASD but the cliptexture is
completely blurry and I get the following error message:
KONA_DMAWRITE: Resource temporarily unavailable
When I use the same asd with a smaller ct I do not have any problem.
I also do not have problems running the ct by itself without the asd.
I do not even know the exact meaning of the message, and asking some SGI
experts they told me it may be the due to the machine running out of
memory. I tried increasing PFSHAREDSIZE but did not work. The
gmemusage does not look full when the application is running. I am running
asdfly on an Onyx2 with at least 2.5 GB of free memory.
One more thing, if I run remotely from an O2, although I do not have
cliptexturing working, I can see perfectly, with no distortion at all,
the right texture on the right place.
My questions are:
1.- What is the meaning of the error message?
2.- If memory related, are there any other diagnostic tools to check that
I am actually running out of memory?
3.- How to get rid of that error and show properly the large ct on the
asd?
Thanks in advance,
Marco
