I think I found the original data on the web.

http://www.seds.org/ftp/software/pc/stars/

has "yale_bsc.exe" at the bottom.

if you download this and execute it (it's a self un-ziping file) you'll
have YALE_BSC.1 through YALE_BSC.4 and YALE_BSC.DOC. These are
what I think I used as input to the whole process.
