Does anyone know a tool that can be used to generate the .star files
imported by Perfomer?

The only details I can find are what is noted in the Perfomer Importer guide
"Yale University compact star chart data", but a search at Yeal or on the
web hasn't turned up much but the 3010.star file that comes with the
Performer distribution. What I want is a 3010.star but with half as many
light points.

Anyone know how to cut these files down?
