just had a project 1 month ago where i could not use the the
DIVO boards because the video libs
are not available in 64bit. That is not exactly third party,
isn't it. it is a shame.
fallback was to do shared memory from a 32bit video server demon
to the 64 bit application.

and yes, we had to do 64Bit Performer because our model is to
big to be squeezed into 1.5 Gig :-)
otherwise i would go with the scripts from ran yakir.

when going 64 Bit, the trouble starts when you do index or
pointer arithmetics. sizeof(void*) changes for example. go look
around, there is very good documentation on the SGI system about
the topic.
