Christopher,

Thanks for your input. My performer is crashing at the moment with a 'overlays
not supported' message, but I'm pretty sure I can fix it by going over the many
details - (the sproingies screensaver runs slow too and hangs after a while, so
probably a Mesa symlink or something).

As far as the coaster project, I did publish this in '92, it was the first full
motion video and audio program for the PC - "Coaster - the Scream Saver", and
it was a pretty big hit. Since I have all the drawings and data I wanted to
re-do it using accelerated graphics hardware. The PC hardware is so much
better now, the simulation and scenery could be much more refined So its not
commercial... yet...

My software takes the plan (overhead view or path data) and profile (side or
elevation data) of the ride and generates the track geometry - rails, beams,
cross braces etc. The camera view comes from the equations of motion
(acceleration=sin*slope of track ahead) and Ken Shoemakes' quaternion
interpolation (SLERP) for smooth motion and banking on the turns.

What is your performer application?
