(I'll be glad when the next version of redhat comes out with a fixed
version Mesa and I don't have to answer this question anymore).

Odds are your symlinks are messed up in /usr/lib and your libGL.so or
libGL.so.1 is pointing to the broken version of Mesa that redhat shipped
with redhat 7 rather than nvidia's libs.

a) read NVidia's README on their on drivers download page
b) read
  http://www.linuxdoc.org/HOWTO/mini/Nvidia-OpenGL-Configuration/index.html
c) if you actually intend to use Mesa, grab the updated rpm from my
   realtiy web page http://reality.sgi.com/flynnt
