I agree with Angus, the subload is the safest way for doing intensive
animated textures ; non subloading methods can create a mess in the
texture memory, and if you go for "true life" repetitive applications (no
demo), very quickly, the graphics hangs ; for everlasting applications,
just go for subload. End of last year, we did an in-depth comparison on
this topic : we just kept subload.
