For my part when i was working on both IRIX/IRIS Performer 2.2

and Performer 2.3 linux, i've ported my sproc calls to pthreads (POSIX)

and i've used POSIX mutex... (on IRIX, it's better to leave your sproc code,

because the integration of POSIX threads is ok with GLX since Irix 6.5.5 i think,

and with IRIX sprocs you have all the tricks for hard-realtime).

So i've used some

#ifdef IRIX

sproc

#endif

#ifdef LINUX

pthreads

#endif

in my code

I hope it helps
