Do the C++ exceptions work with IRIS Performer???

Hello,

I'm developing an IRIS Performer application (both in IRIX and Linux) with
C++ API, and I am not able to make work properly the try-catch mechanism to
use C++ exceptions. It seems like if I link with IRIS Performer libraries,
exceptions are disabled or treated automatically and all my try-catch
blocks are ignored.
Is there any way to use exceptions within an IRIS Performer application??
Is there anything I am missing?
