First thing I'd check is that you have OpenInventor installed
(http://oss.sgi.com/projects/inventor/). The Inventor loader depends on
the Inventor libraries.
If it still fails, setenv PFNFYLEVEL to 7 and PFLD_LIBRARY_PATH to
/usr/lib/libpfdb/ and try again. Amidst all the debug spew will be the
section that is trying to dlopen() the loader along with any error
messages.
