if you have performer 2.4, then you're missing something. a pre-built
libpfiv.so loader comes with pf2.4. do an ls on /usr/lib/libpfdb/libpfiv*
perhaps the loader is there, but the dlopen() on the loader is failing for
some reason (often times due to an unresolved symbol...) check by setting
PFLD_LIBRARY_PATH to /usr/lib/libpfdb and setting PFNFYLEVEL to 7 and
checking the output of perfly windmill.iv
