Thanks

I tried the gimp and found that the saving in the (.grya) format and then
renaming the file to a (.inta) works just fine.

Hi Paul,

We use the GIMP (www.gimp.org) and save it in SGI format (nominally .rgb).
The suffix can be changed to suit the number of components in the image.

In imgview you need to specifically set the format (in a "save as") to
classic SGI unless the suffix is .rgb. The attributes should default to the
correct values (the colour model should be luminance alpha for an .inta).
When the format was set to "infer from file name" you do get an error in
performer. An unrecognised suffix (such as .int or .inta) must default to
another format.

Cheers,
Todd Maybury

Subject: editing an *.inta file

Hello

I'm wondering if anyone knows of a free image editor that works with .inta
files or the proper settings to use with Image View? I've been trying to
use Image View 3.2 (which seem to open and save inta files) but when
performer reads them I get the following error:
iopen: bad magic in image file 4d4d

The inta file worked fine before saving it with Image View.

Thanks
Paul Duncan
