As far as i know, the indirect rendering capabilities
of the linux driver are not fully implemented. I guess we
are talking about an nvidia linux box? I did some experiments
with that too and had the same problem.

Well yes, but there is no cheaper sollution to have a development
station for an Onyx which only sometimes renders some frames (and
not in realtime) to make
sure the prog works ;). That at least was our goal...
