Check out http://freeware.sgi.com/Installable/povray-3.1g.html

In fact, http://freeware.sgi.com is the best place to look for open source
or freeware apps that have been ported to IRIX and are available in
an instable form.

Also, http://www.povray.org/ has some good info about the app in general.
