Please reply if anyone has nay success using Linux
as an xclient of a performer app running on an Onyx,
I'm looking for what combination of machines work.
Hi,
I was wondering is anyone has had any experience/success
getting performer to work with a Linux xclient.
Basically I have a performer based app (+CAVELib) running
on an Onyx2 and I want to run an XClient on a Linux box
(XFree86 4.0.1)using the simulator.
When the first call to pfInit is executed
the program dies on the XClient due to an X error 78
(X_CreateColormap); the program runs fine obviously on the
Onyx2 or other sgi based xclients.
Now I've matched my visual as best as I can, 1280x1024
with 16bpp (and also tried pretty much all other combinations
but to no avail).
Since I don't know what pfInit does internally is there
anything that can be changed externally to allow the
call to succeed?
Regards,
...Darren
