lenght lists in pfa-file

Hi,

does anybody know what the "Length Lists" in the pfa-File are doing?
I think they must be related to the Vertex Lists!
The sum of the 4 rows in "Length List 0" is 20 and the "Vertex List 0" has
20 rows.
