pfG'day,
We have been experimenting with some of the pfMultiprocess options for
an application we are developing. During this experimenting, we have
noticed that specifying PFMP_CULLoDRAW or the PFMP_CULL_DL_DRAW token
causes our model to hang. The model also hangs in perfly
when using the -m 65542 switch. This happens on all machines (IRIX 6.5.7/8/9)
(O2, Octane, 3-pipe IR2, 1-pipe IR2) that we have tried.
We attached to some of the processes in dbx, that appeared to be 'eating'
cpu time during these hangs and they appear to be caught up in these regions..
Process 8816 (app) stopped at [pfGeoState::pr_dlApply(pfGeoSet*,pfDispList*):340 +0xc,0x38dd3dc]
and
Process 8810 (app) stopped at [pfDispList::pr_drawRing(void):3917 +0x18,0x3890a7c]
When run on a much smaller model, the app (and perfly) don't actually hang,
but nothing is displayed. Hitting the 's' key to turn on stats results in
a badly flickering stats display.
Is there something 'special' that one has to do in order to use CULLoDRAW?
