Hi Diego:
The .lsa and .lsb formats are obsolete. There isn't a way to generate them
using Lightscape tools.
Using Lightscape you can use the VRML exporter to generate files that can be
read into Performer. People typically also use the Mesh-to-Texture tool in
Lightscape before exporting to VRML files.
There is also a Developer Kit that comes with Lightscape 3.2. It's on the CD
in the \FileSDK\ folder. It allows you to read .ls files and get at the
energy and mesh information there. You can then write a converter to a
format that is readable by Performer. This approach may be of limited use to
you though since the libraries in the Developer Kit are only available for
Windows/Intel apps.
Hope this helps,

Subject: LIGHTSCAPE .LSA .LSB FILE FORMAT
Hi everybody
We are trying to find a way to read a .ls (Lightscape Solution file) with
perfly
Unfortunately, perfly only reads .lsa (Lightscape Solution ASCII) and .lsb
(Lightscape
Solution binary)
Does anybody know how to convert from .ls to .lsa or .lsb?
Best regards
Diego Bajo
