picking points unsupported...

Hi

I've writing an application which requires picking points/lightpoints, using
pfChanPick, currently the man pages say this isn't supported is there any
plan to support point/line picking in the 2.4 release?

Has anyone else come up with a similar problem and come up with an elegant
solution (I've got 10K points to pick between!).
