As a general rule, we print a warning message whenever the app goes
into API functionality that exists in Performer for IRIX, but doesn't
exist yet for Linux (because it's lacking in the OpenGL drivers, or
we haven't implemented it yet, or other reasons). Example of this in
2.3.1 are overlays, datapools, multiprocessing, multipipe, etc.
In this particular case Perfly wants to put some "IRIS Performer"
text up in the corner of the screen in an overlay plane; but the
OpenGL drivers for Linux don't (yet) have support for overlay
windows. So, a warning is printed, for you to know that something is
being skipped.
