pfbs are not really an interchange format. They're like a compiled version
of
some other format such that they are optimized for minimum load times.
If you need to edit an existing database, you should probably contact the
original provider of the pfbs to see if they can provide you the flt
equivalents.
There may or may not be data rights associated with the pfbs, but its best
to check. If you intend to simply reuse the pfbs and you need to locate them
with respect to other objects, then you could consider use of isectors to
obtain placements points, or substitution of tagged models (in flight
format)
with pfbs after loading.
