I do not know about available film-clip fires, but there is already some particle based fire code available here and there, including built into Vega (since you are already using Multigen, you may have seen it), if you can add C code into your scene, there are a few live generated fires available at the OpenGL Challenge site, you can borrow what looks best for your application or continue looking for a film animation to texture with. The fire code is one or two weeks back at http://oglchallenge.otri.net/ you can easily add OpenGL in a call-back routine to performer, or alternately (and better) convert the objects used for animation into Performer code. This is in no way a plug for my entry (which you are free to use, as with all of the entries), since I threw it together in less than a couple of hours.... Shhhhhhhhhhhh don't tell anyone.... ;-)
just me,
Jeff
