You definately need XRree86-4.0.1 in order to upgrade to NVidia's 0.94
drivers. Upgrading to 4.0.1 isn't easy at the moment (RedHat 7.0 will
come with XFree86-4.0.1). Two things you can do: 1) grab and install the
binaries from www.xfree86.org. I did this a while ago (before rpms were
available). It took a little while to get things setup right, but it
worked. Or 2) you can use the rpms in RedHat's rawhide directory or the
beta directory on their website. Those are in rpm version 4 format.
You'll have to upgrade to rpm version 3.0.5 first before upgrading to
version 4. This can be a bit of a pain as well. And of course, you can
always just compile it yourself :-).
