I am in the process of figuring out the diffrence between the different
state transparency modes.

I quote from the man page :

PFTR_ON
                IRIS Performer will use a default transparency mechanism

                depending on the machine being used.

------------------------------------------

My question -

How is the transparency mode dependent on the machine ?
